Colophon

Typography: JAF Lapture Display Regular for headlines, designed by Tim Ahrens and inspired by Albert Kapr’s Leipziger Antiqua ♥, and Dia by Schick Toikka for everything else.

The site is build with the static site generator Eleventy, created by Zach Leatherman and supported by a generous community.

Eleventy helped me fall back in love with HTML and CSS. It also introduced me to Node and encouraged me to write my own JavaScript helpers. Thank you, Zach! I love the mindset you’ve woven into Eleventy.

I also use two other tools by Zach: details-utils, which adds helpful enhancements to the details element, and his carou-scroll web component, which brings next/previous buttons to the horizontal gallery.

The content is managed with Kirby as a headless CMS, another fantastic tool. Although I still struggle a little with the query language KQL (but then again, I don't have much to compare it to), Kirby is my favorite CMS so far. The user interface is great, and as a designer, I really enjoy using the documentation or just browsing through it.

I also want to thank Heydon Pickering and Andy Bell for every-layout.dev, Heydon for inclusive-components.design, and Andy for his learneleventyfromscratch.com.

If you have any tips or suggestions on how to make this website faster or more accessible, please let me know.
